Word Hunt Academy is a word-search puzzle and vocabulary-learning app. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, how we share it, and the choices you have.
This policy applies to the Word Hunt Academy mobile app experience, including guest play, optional account sign-in, coins, in-app purchases, rewarded ads, analytics, restore purchases, account sync, and related support services.
1. Summary
We design Word Hunt Academy to collect only the information needed to operate, improve, and protect the app.
- You can play the core game as a guest without creating an account.
- We may collect gameplay progress, puzzle activity, coin wallet activity, purchase records, device/app diagnostics, and advertising or analytics signals.
- If you choose to sign in, we may collect account information such as email address or login provider identifiers.
- If you make purchases, Apple App Store or Google Play processes your payment. We do not receive your full payment card details.
- Rewarded ads are optional. If you choose to watch a rewarded ad, advertising partners may process data to show and measure ads.
- We do not sell personal information in the traditional sense. Some advertising or analytics activities may be considered “sharing” or “targeted advertising” under certain privacy laws.
2. Information We Collect
2.1 Information you provide
We may collect information you choose to provide, such as:

2.2 Guest and account identifiers
When you use the app, we may create identifiers to operate the app, such as:

- Restore-purchase or entitlement identifiers needed to protect purchases and unlocks.
We use these identifiers to save progress, protect purchases, prevent duplicate rewards, support restore flows, and prevent abuse.
2.3 Gameplay, progress, and app data
We may collect or store information about your app activity, including:
- Categories, difficulty levels, and game modes selected.
- Puzzle starts, completions, duration, hints used, and coins earned or spent.
- Daily bonus claims and rewarded-ad reward status.
- Unlocked categories, owned backgrounds, and equipped background.
- Bookmarked words, word mastery, flashcard review activity, and vocabulary progress.
- App settings, such as sound, display, and last selected category or difficulty.
Some gameplay data may be stored locally on your device. If account sync is enabled, some data may also be stored on our servers so it can be restored or synced across devices.
2.4 Local storage and secure token storage
The app stores some information on your device, including gameplay progress, preferences, wallet state, unlocks, legal acknowledgement status, and guest identifiers. If you sign in, authentication tokens may be stored using platform secure storage where available, with fallback device storage only where secure storage is unavailable.
2.5 Purchase and entitlement information
If you buy coins, remove ads, unlock premium content, or restore purchases, we may collect and process purchase-related records, such as:
- Product ID.
- Platform, such as iOS or Android.
- Platform purchase ID, transaction ID, purchase token, or receipt data.
- Purchase status, such as pending, verified, failed, refunded, or restored.
- Coins granted, entitlements granted, and related audit records.
Apple or Google processes the actual payment. We do not collect your full credit card number or payment credentials.
2.6 Advertising information
If ads are enabled, advertising partners may collect or receive information such as:
- Device identifiers or advertising identifiers, where allowed.
- IP address and approximate location inferred from IP address.
- App interactions related to ad loading, viewing, completion, and reward eligibility.

Rewarded ads are optional and must be completed before the app grants the related reward.

- Expo and EAS services for app build, update, and production operations.
- Apple App Store and Google Play for app distribution, purchases, refunds, and restore flows.
- Google AdMob and Google Mobile Ads services for rewarded advertising, where ads are enabled.
- Hosting, database, and email delivery providers used to operate account, purchase, entitlement, support, and sync services.
4.2 App stores and payment platforms
If you make a purchase, we exchange purchase records with Apple App Store, Google Play, or related platform services to verify purchases, grant coins or entitlements, handle refunds, and support restore flows.
4.3 Advertising partners
If ads are enabled, ad partners may process information to provide, measure, limit, and improve ads. Depending on your location and settings, this may include personalized or non-personalized ads.
4.4 Legal, safety, and business reasons
We may disclose information if required by law, to protect rights and safety, to investigate abuse or fraud, or as part of a business transaction such as a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets.

Word Hunt Academy may use advertising, including optional rewarded video ads that let you earn extra coins or other in-app rewards.
- Rewarded ads are optional.
- We do not require rewarded ads to complete a puzzle.
- Rewards are granted only after the ad provider reports successful completion.
- Ad availability may vary by region, device, consent status, and provider.
Where required, we will ask for consent before using certain advertising or tracking technologies. On iOS, if we use tracking as defined by Apple, we will request permission through App Tracking Transparency before tracking you across apps or websites.
You may also be able to limit ad tracking through your device settings.
You can review or change advertising choices using your device privacy settings, including iOS tracking permissions and Android advertising ID controls. 6. In-App Purchases
Word Hunt Academy may offer digital items such as coin packs, category unlocks, background cosmetics, premium content, or remove-ads entitlements.
- Purchases are processed by Apple App Store or Google Play.
- We receive purchase confirmation information, but not your full payment card details.
- Some purchases, such as consumable coin packs, may not be restorable after they are consumed, except where required or supported by platform reconciliation.
- Non-consumable purchases, such as Remove Ads or premium bundles if offered, may be restorable through the platform account.
- Some coin-spent unlocks may be stored locally unless account/cloud sync is enabled.
Signing in may be required before paid purchases, paid content-pack unlocks, restore purchases, or account deletion so we can protect and restore eligible purchases.
7. Children’s Privacy
Word Hunt Academy is a kids-friendly word-search puzzle and vocabulary-learning app. We design the app to be appropriate for families, students, and casual players, and we aim to limit collection of personal information from children.
Children can play the core game as guests without creating an account. Guest play is designed to avoid requiring a child to provide an email address, name, or other direct contact information. Guest gameplay progress, settings, coins, unlocks, and puzzle activity may be stored locally on the device and may be used to operate the game.
Optional account sign-in, purchases, restore purchases, account sync, and certain support requests may require an email address or other account-related information. If a child is under 13 or under the minimum age required by local law, these features should be used only with permission and supervision from a parent or guardian.
Rewarded ads, if available, are optional. Where required, we use consent, age, device, platform, or provider controls to limit personalized advertising or tracking for children. Ad availability and personalization may vary based on region, device settings, consent status, and provider rules.
We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under the applicable minimum age without required parental consent. 8. Data Retention
We keep information for as long as needed to provide the app, maintain accounts, protect purchases, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, prevent fraud, and support legitimate business purposes.

- Guest progress may remain on your device unless you delete the app or clear app data.
- Account data may be kept while your account is active and for a reasonable period after deletion to complete deletion, prevent abuse, and meet legal obligations.
- Support messages and privacy requests may be retained for as long as needed to respond, document completion, and resolve follow-up issues.
- Purchase and entitlement records may be retained longer as needed for platform, accounting, fraud-prevention, refund, tax, and legal reasons.
- Analytics and diagnostic data may be retained in aggregated or de-identified form.

10. Account Deletion

When you request deletion, we may delete or de-identify account data unless retention is required for legitimate reasons such as:
- Purchase records and refund prevention.

- Records needed to complete your request.
Deleting the app from your device may remove local guest progress, but it may not delete server-side account or purchase records if you created an account or made purchases. Use the account deletion process to request deletion of server-side account data.
11. Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards to protect information. For example, we plan to use platform purchase validation, secure token storage, transaction ledgers, idempotency keys, and abuse-prevention checks for coins, rewards, purchases, and entitlements.
No method of transmission or storage is completely secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security.
12. International Users
If you use Word Hunt Academy from outside the country where our servers or providers operate, your information may be processed in other countries. Those countries may have data protection laws that differ from your location.
