This page explains how to request deletion of a Word Hunt Academy account, what account data is deleted, what may be retained, and how to request help if you cannot access the app.
Who This Applies To
Word Hunt Academy lets players use the core game as guests. Guest play may store progress and settings locally on the device without creating a server account.
Account deletion applies to players who created or linked an optional Word Hunt Academy server account, such as an email sign-in account used for purchases, paid content, restore purchases, or account sync.
How to Delete Your Account in the App
- Open Word Hunt Academy.
- Go to Settings.
- Open Privacy and Legal.
- Select Delete.
- Choose Delete Server Account.
- Confirm the deletion request when prompted.
After confirmation, the app requests deletion of the server account and signs the device out of that account.
If You Cannot Access the App
If you cannot open the app or cannot access the account deletion option, email support@simplifyinteractive.com with the subject line “Word Hunt Academy Account Deletion Request.”
Include the following information so we can locate the account:
- The email address used for the Word Hunt Academy account.
- A short statement that you want to delete your Word Hunt Academy account.
- Any purchase or restore issue details if your request involves paid content or purchases.
We may ask for additional information if needed to verify that you are authorized to request deletion of the account.
Data Deleted or De-Identified
When an eligible account deletion request is completed, we delete or de-identify account data such as:
- Account profile records associated with the Word Hunt Academy server account.
- Email sign-in information associated with the account, where deletion is not restricted by legal or safety needs.
- Server-side account sync data, such as synced wallet state, unlocks, entitlements, and progress records.
- Server-side records that are no longer needed to provide the app, support purchases, prevent fraud, or comply with legal obligations.
Data That May Be Retained
Some information may be retained when necessary for legitimate reasons, including:
- Purchase, refund, and entitlement records needed for app store reconciliation, tax, accounting, dispute handling, fraud prevention, or legal compliance.
- Security, abuse-prevention, and audit records needed to protect the app and other users.
- Support messages and deletion request records needed to document and complete your request.
- Aggregated or de-identified analytics and diagnostics that no longer identify the deleted account.
Guest Data and Local Device Data
Deleting a server account does not automatically remove all local data stored on your device. Local guest progress, settings, cached gameplay data, and device-only records may remain unless you delete the app or clear the app data using your device settings.
If you only used Word Hunt Academy as a guest and never created a server account, there may be no server account for us to delete. You can remove local guest data by deleting the app or clearing the app data on your device.
Timing
We aim to process account deletion requests within a reasonable period after receiving and verifying the request. Some retained records may remain for longer where required for purchases, refunds, security, fraud prevention, tax, accounting, dispute resolution, or legal obligations.
